To facilitate and accelerate the realisation of your project, the Canton of Berne can provide financial contributions of approx. 5% to 30% as allowable project investments and costs. These can take the form of:

·    Contributions to the investment costs (à fonds perdu)

·    Contributions to investment costs which are repayable subject to conditions (interest-free)

·    Arranging sureties by surety cooperatives

As the beneficiary you must fulfil various operational conditions (e.g. export-oriented and innovative project, maintenance and creation of jobs) and project-related conditions (e.g. new departure for the company, national or international target markets, economic importance for the Canton of Berne). The objective is also to quarantee sustainable development of the company.

Contributions cannot be provided for liquidity bottlenecks, reorganisations, maintenance of structure, moving head offices within Switzerland without good operational reasons, investments prescribed by law and catch-up investments.
